Had reservations but when we arrived at 10:00 at night the hotel was closed due to a power outage. Apparently the power had been out for several day yet nobody from the hotel bothered to contact us to let us know.

The room was really large and clean. As we pulled into Crescent City, the electricity went out in the whole county due to a fire. Two nights without lights or hot water, there wasn't anything the hotel could do about it. We just laughed at the situation because we were supposed to be in Maui but couldn't because of their fire. What are the chances!We had a good time inspite of the lack of electricity and went about our planned Redwood activities. Of course, after checkout, the electricity came on as we left town. This just made our vacation more of an adventure than we planned.
